Comment:	Actually, Bernard Stryer, my father, spelled his name Striar and lived in South Orange, NJ. He was a successfull and prominent businessman who contributed widely philanthropically as well as to political parties and candidates. He was a major supporter of e there State of Israel. He was quite connected in the state of New Jersey and Maine. Perhaps, he was viewed as a threat in someway.
