I worked on the McGovern Campaign in Columbus, and contributed to the support of that campaign. But in the fall of 1972 I moved to Chicago for a new job. My taxes were audited that year for the first and last time. I had to hire an attorney/accountant to represent me before the IRS, and it was found I had overpaid by $15.00. I need to add I mailed the form in a day late, but I have always thought the audit may have been related to my being on this enemies list. I am proud to tell this story to my grandchildren.
