Comment:Paul Conrad! The greatest American political cartoonist with 3 Pulitzer Prizes! Paul drove LBJ, Trickie Dickie, RayGun and King George the Lesser nuts and you say "There are no comments yet"???!!!! Move him to the top of the list. There was no one Nixon hated more than Paul Conrad. The IRS audited Paul's tax returns each year from 1968 to 1973.
Please check my humble tribute to this great man at constructiveanarchy.com/blog on Labor Day, 2010.

Comment:Paul was an original thinker. Very creative artist with India ink and laser like imagination. Answered his own phone and listened to occasional haters who called in. "You gotta take it, if you hand it out." Loved to talk about IRS interviews where he allegedly told agents they were Nixon's "lap dogs." He loved politics and the motivation behind political decisions. Loved to hold up a mirror to politicians. Nixon was his foremost opponent but local politicians never escaped his sharp wit. A great guy to have lunch with many years ago.
